Worship
Sycamore provides a traditional church service which begins at 9:30 am. The service provides worship in song, spoken word, and prayer.
Elders / Seniors
Elders & Seniors ministry is focused on and participates in the awareness that ongoing faith development of midlife and older adults is crucial for the transformation of the world.
Sunday School
You can participate in two Sunday School classes. Each class begins at 8:30 am.
We definitely have room for you! Each class focuses on how we can live out our Christianity in practical ways in everyday life through lively open discussions.
Children/ Youth
Children are our future. It is vitally important, and our responsibility, to provide our children with a solid foundation in the Word of God. At Sycamore, that foundation is built throughout each age level with the same emphasis as adults.
Mission
The mission of the United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. The further mission of Sycamore United Methodist Church is to create and build an inclusive Christian community through INVITING, FORMING, and SENDING faithful, active disciples of Jesus Christ. For this great mission, We are actively working and supporting locally and abroad.
Music
We sincerely consider a quote commonly attributed to St. Augustine "When you sing, you pray twice" United Methodists have been a singing people since Charles Wesley wrote hymns that had the first Methodists singing what they believed. Today, we continue that tradition with hymns, praise songs, and choruses led by organists, pianists, and praise. Let's sing together. Join our choir. We practice every Tuesday at 6:30 pm
Community service
We are ready to serve our community.The food pantry ministry is once every 2-3 months, on Saturday at 9 am. Additional services in ministry are ongoing.
